The mission of The O’Neill Foundation of Hope is to provide immediate, meaningful support to individuals and families experiencing significant and unexpected hardships. We believe that sometimes a helping hand at just the right moment can change the direction of someone's life.

Through financial assistance, housing, donated goods and services, community partnerships, and the generosity of people who care, we work to help people through difficult circumstances while renewing their hope in God, in Jesus, in themselves, and in a brighter future ahead.

Our goal is simple: to meet people where they are, help where we can, and give hope.

              Our Story

​

The O’Neill Foundation of Hope began in 2022 with Bob and Kathy O’Neill and their family, Dan, Mary, Thom, Tim, and Ryan, and a simple desire to help others. For our family, faith, generosity, and caring for others have always been important parts of our lives. Bob and Kathy taught us through both their words and their example that when someone is struggling, we should do what we can to help. Their example of faith, generosity, service, and caring for others helped lay the foundation for the mission we are carrying forward today.

What began as one family's desire to make a difference soon became something much larger.

Individuals, families, businesses, donors, volunteers, churches, professionals, and community partners began stepping forward to help. Some gave financially. Others donated their time, talents, products, or professional services. Some helped individual families. Others helped us build and grow Houses of Hope.

Together, one family's desire to help grew into a community of hope. Today, the O’Neill name represents where our story began. But the mission belongs to every person and organization who chooses to be part of it.

         What We Believe

 

We believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, kindness, and respect.

We believe difficult circumstances do not define a person's future. We believe there are moments when even a relatively small act of generosity can have an extraordinary impact. We believe faith and hope can provide strength during life's most difficult moments. And we believe we can accomplish far more together than any one individual, family, business, or organization could accomplish alone.

      A Community of Hope

 

Since 2022, the O’Neill Foundation of Hope has grown far beyond the family that started it.

Hundreds of individuals, families, donors, volunteers, businesses, and community partners have helped us provide assistance and hope to more than 400 families and individuals experiencing significant hardships.

​

Each week, that community allows us to continue responding when individuals and families need help most. Some people give financially. Others volunteer. Businesses donate services. Families help other families. Community partners support our programs. And through Houses of Hope, we are working to provide longer-term stability and opportunity for families who need a fresh start.

Every person who helps becomes part of this mission.
