Peggy has been facing significant health challenges for many years. She lives with epilepsy, kidney disease, and the lasting effects of a head injury she suffered as a child. She also takes numerous daily medications, all while doing her best to continue working and remain independent.
To add insult to injury, recently Peggy’s hours at work were reduced, making it very difficult to keep up with everyday expenses. Despite these setbacks, she kept pushing forward and secured a full-time job at Sam’s Club, where she will earn more per hour and have more stable hours. However, there was a gap before her first paycheck arrived, leaving her in a very tight financial position.
Thanks to you, The O’Neill Foundation of Hope was able to step in and help cover one monthly housing payment along with some utility bills, giving Peggy some breathing room during this transition.
Peggy has shown incredible perseverance through many hardships, and it was an honor to come alongside her during this difficult season. In meeting her, Peggy’s kind and thoughtful heart and generous spirit for others were so inspiring to see.
