Meet Jokera, a young woman whose incredible ambition has been tested by a series of tough breaks. A determined student, Jokera was working hard to get her education and save up for a move to college when she was hit with one setback after another. After a "lemon" car left her in debt, a devastating hit-and-run accident totaled her new vehicle, putting her in the hospital and leaving her with no way to get around. The financial strain was immense, and she was forced to sell her laptop—a vital tool for her college courses—just to cover her rent.

We stepped in to help Jokera get back on her feet. We not only helped her retrieve a laptop so she could continue her studies without interruption, but we also got a bike for her. This gave her a reliable way to get to work and avoid the daily stress of inconsistent public transportation.
