Some people face obstacles. Others seem to face one tragedy after another.

Dazhane was seriously injured after being hit by a car. Later, she survived a gunshot wound that left her with lasting nerve damage. Most recently, a fall resulted in a broken foot, making it difficult to work and creating financial hardship at a time when she was simply trying to heal.

Yet despite everything she has endured, Dazhane has refused to give up.

The O'Neill Foundation of Hope was honored to assist with her rent during this difficult season. More importantly, we were inspired by her courage, resilience, and determination to keep moving forward.

Dazhane reminded us that hope is not the absence of hardship. Hope is finding the strength to keep going in the middle of it.
