Daniel Dunrud courageously battled metastatic melanoma for two years, before he passed away on February 3rd, 2024 (surrounded by his loved ones.)
Dan was a wonderful father, husband, and kind friend to so many. And as the sole provider for his family, his wife Maggie cared full time for their sons, Spencer and Wesley.
The Dunrud’s have a large lawn to mow and this year, their mower was always breaking down and not working properly. And with everything Maggie and her two young boys have had to endure, the additional chore of mowing had taken a toll.
Thanks however to Christi Barten Ryburn and Kristen Hirsch's thoughtfulness, Kristen reached out to The O'Neill Foundation of Hope to ask for help for her friend. So that Maggie and her boys can most importantly…focus on healing. And in the process, continue to know how much they are loved by so many in our community.
To honor this special family and to honor Daniel, today they received that new lawnmower.
